Robert Vaughn, Dead at 83

2016 has claimed another great with Robert Vaughn. “With his suave good looks and impeccable dress sense Robert Vaughn was an elegant presence in film and television for more than 50 years.”

I remember watching him as the iconic Napoleon Solo in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. as a kid. His performance as the self-serving politician Walter Chmabers in Bullitt, playing opposite Steve McQueen, was brilliant and gained him a BAFTA nomination for Best Supporing Actor.
