Simple Wholemeal & Rye Bread
- 200g rye flour, plus extra for dusting
- 200g strong white or wholemeal flour
- 7g sachet fast-action dried yeast
- ½ tsp fine salt
- 1 tbsp honey
Here’s a recipe that turned out rather well. It makes a small loaf with a good flavour that’s very tasty with cheese. A dense bread that’s also very easy to slice. Needs a 2lb tin, 200C for 30-35 mins in a fan oven.
